Chamber Safety Inspections

Is Your Chamber Safe, Compliant, and Being Used Correctly?

Owning or operating a hyperbaric chamber carries responsibilities that are not always obvious at the point of purchase. Our certified HBOT technicians conduct independent on-site inspections to assess regulatory compliance, equipment condition, and operational practice, giving you a clear and honest picture of where you stand.

Hyperbaric chamber technical inspection

A hyperbaric chamber is a pressure vessel operating in an oxygen enriched environment. The combination of elevated pressure and high oxygen concentration creates conditions that require careful attention to equipment integrity, operational procedure, and regulatory compliance. These are not abstract concerns. They are the practical foundations of safe and effective HBOT, whether the chamber is in a clinical setting or a private residence.

Inspection scope

What Our Technicians Assess

Regulatory classification

We confirm whether your chamber holds the appropriate FDA 510(k) clearance, CE marking, or TGA registration for its intended use, and whether it is being operated within the scope of that classification.

PVHO compliance

Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy carry specific design, materials, and inspection requirements under ASME PVHO-1. We assess whether your chamber meets the applicable standard and identify any areas requiring attention.

UHMS operational standards

The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society publishes recognised operational guidelines for hyperbaric facilities. We review your setup against these standards and note any gaps in documentation, staffing, or procedure.

Pressure and oxygen system integrity

We inspect compressor condition, oxygen delivery components, pressure relief valves, and seals for signs of wear, contamination, or deviation from manufacturer specification.

Fire safety and electrical compliance

Oxygen enriched environments require strict fire safety protocols. We assess ignition risk sources, prohibited materials inside the chamber, electrical grounding, and emergency procedures.

Operational protocol review

We examine how the chamber is being used in practice: session pressures, duration, frequency, contraindication screening, and whether the operational approach aligns with established clinical or wellness guidelines.

Maintenance and service records

We review the service history of the chamber, identify whether scheduled maintenance has been completed, and flag any outstanding manufacturer recalls or service bulletins.

User training and supervision

We assess whether the individuals operating the chamber have received appropriate training, and whether supervision arrangements are consistent with the chamber type and intended user group.

Who this is for

Chamber Inspections Across Every Setting

Home chamber owners

Many people acquire a hyperbaric chamber for personal use without a clear picture of what ongoing compliance and safe operation actually require. An independent inspection gives you confidence that your chamber is functioning correctly and being used appropriately.

Wellness and longevity facilities

Spas, recovery centres, and longevity clinics operating chambers in a non-clinical context face a distinct set of regulatory and operational questions. We help you understand where you stand and what steps, if any, are needed.

Clinical operators

Medical practices and hyperbaric clinics benefit from periodic independent review of their chamber setup and operational protocols, particularly when onboarding new equipment, changing staff, or preparing for accreditation.

Buyers of pre-owned chambers

Purchasing a used hyperbaric chamber without an independent technical assessment carries real risk. We inspect pre-owned chambers before purchase to give buyers an accurate picture of condition, compliance status, and any remediation required.

How it works

The Inspection Process

01

Initial consultation

We begin with a conversation about your chamber, how it is being used, and what your specific concerns or objectives are. This allows us to scope the inspection appropriately and prepare the right documentation checklist in advance.

02

On-site inspection

A certified HBOT technician visits your location to conduct a physical inspection of the chamber, its ancillary systems, and the environment in which it operates. The inspection is thorough, non-invasive, and typically completed in a single visit.

03

Documentation review

We review all available documentation: manufacturer specifications, service records, regulatory certificates, operational protocols, and training records. Where documentation is incomplete, we note what is missing and why it matters.

04

Written report and recommendations

You receive a clear written report covering every area assessed, with findings categorised by priority. Where issues are identified, we provide practical recommendations and, where relevant, connect you with the appropriate specialists or service providers.

Independence matters

Why an Independent Inspection Is Different

A manufacturer's service visit is focused on the equipment. A regulatory audit is focused on documentation. Neither is designed to give you a complete, honest picture of whether your chamber is safe, compliant, and being used in a way that makes sense for your situation.

Our technicians have no commercial relationship with any chamber manufacturer or distributor. We are not trying to sell you a service contract or a new chamber. Our only interest is in giving you an accurate assessment of what you have and what, if anything, needs to change.

That independence is the foundation of the service. It is also why the findings in our reports can be trusted.

Chamber safety inspections are technical and operational assessments conducted by certified HBOT technicians. They are not medical consultations, and findings do not constitute clinical advice. Decisions about whether and how to use a hyperbaric chamber for any health related purpose remain the responsibility of the relevant medical professionals.
